Effective October 21, 2026
People come to me with some of the most personal parts of their lives. This page explains, in plain English, what information I collect, why, who helps me process it, and how you stay in control of it.
1. At a glance
| When you… | I receive | Why | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visit the site | Pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, country and city, device and browser type | To keep the site working and make it easier to use | My own visit log: 120 days. Other statistics: as set by the service |
| Send an anonymous question | Your question, the topics you picked, how you want a reply and, only if you choose, your email | To read and answer your question | Until you ask me to delete it |
| Book a session | Name, email, time zone, your answers to booking questions, payment confirmation | To hold the session and keep business records | As long as we work together, then as required for tax records |
| Attend a session | What you choose to share with me | To do the coaching work you asked for | As long as we work together |
| Email or message me | Your message and contact details | To reply to you | As long as needed to help you |
I never sell your personal information. I never share it for advertising. I don't run ads on this site.
2. Who is responsible for your data
Alona Suarez, a private relationship coaching practice, is responsible for your data. For anything related to your privacy, email [email protected].
3. What I collect and why
Visiting the site
Like any website host, mine keeps technical records of requests, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. I see only aggregate statistics.
I also use two analytics tools. My own visit log records the steps of a visit: the page you came from, how far you scrolled and which buttons you pressed. It stores your country and city. It doesn't store your IP address or anything you type. A web analytics service counts visits and shows which links people click, without knowing who you are. Session recording is turned off on the English pages. See Cookies and analytics for how to opt out.
Anonymous questions
The question form doesn't ask for your name or social media profile, and it doesn't record your IP address. I receive your question, the topics you picked and how you'd like a reply. The question is stored securely with my website host and sent to me as a notification.
- Personal reply. You leave an email, and I send my answer to it by email.
- Reply in Telegram. My bot stores only your chat number. Your name and username are never saved.
- Public answer. If you allow it, I may answer your question in a post, Stories or Reels. I remove or change anything that could identify you.
- Question number. You can read my answer on this site using your question number.
Booking and payment
Sessions are booked through TidyCal, where you give your name, email and time zone and answer a few questions about your situation. Payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your card details.
Sessions
Sessions take place online on Zoom or Google Meet. You receive the meeting link by email. I record a session only with the explicit consent of everyone in it.
Emails
If you subscribe to my emails, your name and email are kept with my email provider. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Legal bases for visitors in the EU and UK
Booking and holding a session: performance of a contract. Answering your question, sending emails you asked for: your consent. Site analytics and security: my legitimate interest in a site that works and is easy to use. Keeping financial records: legal obligation.
4. Sensitive information
Relationship conversations often touch on intimacy, sexuality, health or family history. This information is especially sensitive, and I treat it that way. I use it only to answer your question or to do the coaching work you asked for. By choosing to share it in a question or a session, you give your explicit consent for that use. You can withdraw it at any time by asking me to delete what you shared.
When writing a question, please don't include real names, addresses or other details that could identify you or your partner.
5. Confidentiality of our work
What you share in our sessions stays between us. I don't discuss it with anyone without your permission.
Stories of couples on this site are published so that no one can be recognized: names, ages, professions and circumstances are changed.
Couples and individual sessions are coaching. They are no substitute for medical care or psychotherapy.
6. Services I rely on
Your data is processed only by trusted providers my work depends on, and only for the purposes described here. Each has its own privacy policy.
| Type of service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Website hosting | Runs the site and securely stores questions and visit records |
| Booking and payments | TidyCal for booking, Stripe for payments. You see both when you book |
| Video calls | Zoom or Google Meet. You receive the link before the session |
| Email delivery | Sends replies to questions and emails you subscribed to |
| Messaging | Delivers question notifications to me and replies to you, if you choose Telegram |
| Website analytics | Counts visits and clicks without identifying you |
You can ask me for the name of any provider by email. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
7. International transfers
I work online with people in many countries, so your data may be processed outside the country where you live, including in the United States and, for website analytics, in Russia. Where available, I rely on the providers' standard contractual data protection terms.
8. How long I keep data
- Questions: until you ask me to delete them. Email me your question number.
- Session and booking records: while we work together, then as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- My visit log: 120 days, then deleted automatically.
- Other analytics: for the periods set by the service.
9. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask me to:
- tell you what personal information I hold about you and send you a copy
- correct it
- delete it
- limit how I use it, or stop using it for a particular purpose
- withdraw consent you gave earlier, without affecting what happened before
Email [email protected] and I'll reply within 30 days. I won't treat you differently for using any of these rights. If you're in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. If you live in a US state with a privacy law, such as California, these rights apply to you too.
10. Cookies and analytics
The site sets no advertising cookies. My website host may use technical cookies for security. The analytics service uses cookies to count visits.
To opt out of analytics, block cookies for this site in your browser settings or use a content blocker. The site keeps working without them. There's no common standard for the "Do Not Track" browser signal, so the site doesn't respond to it in a special way. The site doesn't follow you to other websites.
11. Security
The site works only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). My list of questions is protected by a password, and I use reputable providers for storage, payments and video. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep identifying details out of your questions.
12. Children
This site and my work are for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has shared information with me, write to me and I'll delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If anything changes in how I handle your data, I'll update this page and the date at the top. I'll describe significant changes in plain language.
Email [email protected]. I read every message myself.
